Library in Lublin, Poland
A classic with a modern twist! Red smooth brick with a unique laying creates a unique facade!
Due to the large forest areas in the area, Lubliniec is called the “city of greenery”.
The new city library has an extensive literature department, a popular science department and a children's book department on two levels. In addition, a reading room, a press center, a conference room and offices for employees.
The project was planned by the Warsaw architectural bureau H2 Architekci. Based on the site's attractive location, the designers designed an L-shaped building with large glass surfaces and a large outdoor terrace. “In the central halls of the Library you can see a panorama of the renovated shore of Lublinice and the castle,” says project architect Marek Happach, describing the design ideas for his project.
In the project, the architects used perforated masonry on various sides of the building and areas of the façade.
